The Scientific Department is one of the many civil departments you can join within SCI-Pathos III. With by far the largest member count of any civil department, it's a huge and welcoming community. Within the Scientific Department, you get front-row seats to interact with the unique SCPs found within Pathos. 

The SCP Foundation was built on containing the unknown, the anomalies. To keep them contained we need to learn what they are, the Scientific Department is the spearhead of all research on the SCPs within the Foundation. Through the Scientific Department’s research, we learned about each SCP and how to contain them safely. Using a variety of different tools, such as Class-Ds we can grow our knowledge on the SCPs. 

The Scientific Department also offers ways to teach others about the SCPs within Pathos. Members of The Scientific Department also get more access to areas around Pathos such as the Pandora crystal terrain and site Epsilon. The Scientific Department researches the unknown to make better containment measures, better technology, and a better tomorrow.
